With tropical notes of guava and citrus, this rum cocktail recipe from Vivek Singh is refreshingly fruity without being overly sweet, thanks to the pleasantly bitter gentian liqueur.
Ingredients
- 40ml of gold rum
- 20ml of gentian liqueur
- 20ml of orange liqueur
- 60ml of guava juice
- 10ml of lime juice , freshly squeezed
- 1 slice of orange , dried to garnish
- 1 sprig of mint
Equipment
- Cocktail shaker
- Hawthorne cocktail strainer
- Ice
Method

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Pour all of the ingredients over the ice, seal, and shake hard for 15 seconds
- 40ml of gold rum
- 20ml of gentian liqueur
- 20ml of orange liqueur
- 60ml of guava juice
- 10ml of lime juice , freshly squeezed

Use a Hawthorne strainer to hold back the ice and pour the contents into a chilled goblet glass over ice
