Our series of dinners in partnership with Estrella Galicia have seen us visit London, Cardiff and Liverpool – our fourth one took us to the north of England and the beautiful city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The restaurant hosting us this time was Kaltur in Dean Street, a Spanish food and drink importer with two celebrated places to eat in the city. The sold-out dinner took place on Wednesday 6 November.
The exclusive, one-off dinner saw Kaltur's head chefs Xavi and Victor create a bespoke tasting menu that was perfectly matched with Estrella Galicia's range of premium beers. More and more of us are understanding that beer can be just as good (if not better) than wine when it comes to food pairing, and the delicious dishes on offer proved just that.
