Berry compote

This vibrant berry compote recipe from Colin McGurran makes a great breakfast condiment. Use it to spoon over porridge or cereal, or to make this dreamy Yoghurt and berry crunch.

  • 370g of frozen mixed berries
  • 1 tbsp of brown sugar

Method

Place the berries in a small saucepan over a low heat with the brown sugar and bring to a simmer
  • 370g of frozen mixed berries
  • 1 tbsp of brown sugar

Cook the fruit for around 20-30 minutes until soft, then remove from the heat and allow to cool
