Peanut butter waffles

If you're a big peanut butter fan, these are the waffles for you! Smooth peanut butter is stirred through the batter which gives them not only a sweet, nutty flavour but a silky fluffy texture. We've topped them with yet more peanut butter, some toasted peanuts for crunch, bananas and honey.

  • Waffle iron

Method

Place the flour, baking powder, salt and salt in a bowl and stir to combine

Place the peanut butter in a separate bowl with the melted butter and whisk to combine, then beat in the eggs and add the milk

Slowly whisk the wet mixture into the dry to form a smooth batter

Preheat a waffle iron up to temperature, then ladle in the batter and close the lid. Cook until golden and crisp – the time will depend on your particular waffle maker, but should be around 5 minutes

Top with more peanut butter, sliced banana, toasted peanuts and a drizzle of honey
