Blackberry gin

Delicious blackberries are infused in gin to create a spirit full of flavour in this easy recipe. Feel free to double (or triple) the recipe to ensure you have enough to see you through the colder, less fruit-filled months.

  • Muslin cloth
  • Sterilised 500ml jar

Method

Wash the berries and place in a sterilised jar

Add the sugar and gin, close the jar and give it a shake

Store in a cool dark place for 1 week, giving the jar a shake every other day to make sure the sugar has dissolved

Strain the gin through a muslin cloth and bottle. Best consumed within 1 month
