Raisins are dried seeded or seedless grapes. Raisins are technically the dark-coloured dried grapes, whereas sultanas and currants are golden-coloured grapes and black Corinth grapes, respectively.
Raisins make a great addition to cereal such as Andy McLeish's crunchy cereal clusters, and to cakes like Paul A. Young's chocolate, ginger and cardamon tea bread.
