The sun is out, the skies are blue, and no one wants to be turning on their oven unless they absolutely have to. Enter: YAMAS! labneh soft cheese. This cooling, creamy soft cheese is the perfect, quick accompaniment to crackers, flatbreads, bagels – you name it. You can enjoy it sweet – on banana bread drizzled with honey – or savoury – seasoned with a pinch of salt and topped with olive oil and sweet tomatoes. Richer than yoghurt, lighter than cream cheese, YAMAS! labneh soft cheese is a great all-rounder to enjoy for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

However, as delicious as it is enjoyed simply, there's so much more you can do with labneh. For a beautiful starter or light lunch we recommend trying labneh with roasted carrots, dukkah and a vibrant herb oil. This colourful, sophisticated starter makes for a great centrepiece. Or, for more of a main meal, try adding smoked mackerel, pickles and freekeh. The roasted green wheat, freekeh, with that rich smoked mackerel is a great pairing, and the quick-pickled vegetables help balance the richness of the labneh.

We also love YAMAS! labneh soft cheese for breakfast or brunch, particularly in place of goat’s cheese in our recipe for toasted baguettes with roasted figs. A little bit sweet, a little bit savoury, this is a great brunch dish for those who can’t pick between the two. YAMAS! labneh soft cheese is also perfect schmeared on a bagel like cream cheese. Try it with our homemade sourdough bagels below, or your favourite bagel.

Last but not least, YAMAS! labneh soft cheese makes a great base for sauces and dips. We love it in place of Greek yoghurt in these colourful dips. The bright pink dip gets its colour from earthy, butter-roasted beets, while the green dip is our spin on a green goddess dressing. It's made with rich feta, garlic and four different types of herbs – all you need to do is add everything to your blender.
