
For the first time in its history, the Michelin announcement was held outside of England, in Glasgow's Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum. Opening with live organ and bagpipe music, and introduced by Councillor Susan Aitken, leader of Glasgow City Council, the ceremony had a refreshingly Scottish flair.
In total, this year's guide gave twenty-six restaurants new ratings, including twenty-two new one-star restaurants, three new two-star restaurants and a new three-star restaurant was announced. There were also five new green stars awarded. Now the dust has settled on the 2025 announcement, it's the perfect opportunity to delve a bit deeper into the stars of this year's results. We've spoken to Jan Ostle of Wilsons, which was awarded a star this year, about his career. Glasgow's very own Lorna McNee of Cail Bruich also helped to host the awards, and we've put together a guide to the city's best restaurants as well.
