We've seen some fantastic cooking so far in this year's Great British Menu, with plenty of tributes to the best of British pop music. This week it's time for the South West to strut its culinary stuff – here's who's been chosen to represent the region in 2019.

Emily Scott, St Tudy Inn, Cornwall

Emily has headed up the kitchen in various restaurants across Cornwall, but it wasn't until she took over the St Tudy Inn in 2014 that she truly found her calling. Serving simple, seasonal food and calling upon her training and time in France (she moved to the UK in 2000), she is guaranteed to show some classical mastery on our screens this week.

Joe Baker, Number 10, Jersey

Joe is local to Jersey, and when he opened his restaurant Number 10 in 2016 with his family it bolstered the island's culinary credentials massively. Serving relaxed European and modern British food that shows off plenty of talent, Joe might be a newcomer to Great British Menu but we're sure he'll be a calm and collected contestant with plenty of skill to show off.

Lee Smith, Samphire, Jersey

Lee is the head chef of Samphire (previously Ormer under Shaun Rankin), a restaurant that serves Michelin-star-level food, so expect plenty of high-end technique on show. Originally from Nottingham, Lee trained at Le Manoir aux'Quat Saisons before moving to Jersey to work at Bohemia under Steve Smith. He then moved to Ormer and took over when it became Samphire.
