With the UK still on lockdown, eating out has gone from something we miss to something we're actively craving. There are ways to remedy this, at least a little – restaurants offering delivery services bring a little bit of their magic into our homes - but for the most part, we've been pushing our own kitchen skills to the max. Cook for Charity, a small group of volunteers, has created an e-cookbook consisting of recipes from some of the UK’s very best restaurants, chefs and food sites in a bid to raise money for the NHS.
Titled Cook for Charity, the cookbook features over 50 stunning recipes from the likes of Marcus Wareing, Adam Handling, Asma Khan, Casa do Frango, Oklava, Hide, Lina Stores, A Wong and loads more. There’s also a tasty Great British Chefs recipe in there too! And with a range of savoury dishes and sweet treats, there’s something in there to suit everyone’s tastes.
'With many restaurants in the UK currently closed, we hope to convert our cravings into something positive by offering people the chance to cook one of their favourite dishes at home,' says Madeleine Dann, co-founder of Cook for Charity.
The book is available to download now for a minimum donation of £5, with all proceeds raised through the project going directly to the NHS Charities Together Covid-19 Urgent Appeal.
