Recipe Editor

Great British Chefs is looking for a recipe editor to assist its editorial team.

The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge and interest in food, prior experience of recipe editing and immaculate sub-editing skills.

As part of the editorial team, the candidate will work collaboratively to consistently publish recipes, features and videos to the highest standard. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who lives and breathes food and drink to become a part of the UK’s leading premium food platform. 

Many of the recipes published on Great British Chefs are long, complex and contain many elements, so an ability to break things down into digestible instructions is key! 

Responsibilities:

  • Editing chef and in-house recipes into Great British Chefs house style

  • Inputting recipes into the CMS

  • Writing copy for recipes and recipe collections

  • Proofreading and editing all recipe content published on Great British Chefs, ensuring it is free from errors and adheres to house style

  • Assisting the editorial team with writing where needed

  • Ensuring that landing pages are regularly updated

Requirements:

  • Recipe editing experience essential

  • Excellent proofreading and sub-editing skills

  • Deep knowledge of food, ingredients and cookery

  • Experience of writing engaging and concise copy

  • Ability to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines

  • Experience working with a CMS

We have an office in Kennington, London, which is very collaborative – but we are open to remote positions too.

Senior Partnerships Manager

Full time, Permanent 
A mixture of working remotely and in our London office 

The Role 

Great British Chefs is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Senior Partnerships Manager to join our ever-growing team.

This is a new business / business development role so a keen eye for prospecting is essential. The ideal candidate must have experience in media sales, partnerships sales or a similar new business role alongside a strong interest in food, cooking and the UK’s restaurant scene.

You will be responsible for kick off conversations with new prospective partners for sales, bringing a creative and innovative approach to new revenue generation. 

As part of the commercial team, you will work collaboratively with all departments to source leads, set up conversations and open doors to exciting new business.

You could be speaking to anyone from Moth canned cocktails to Rathfinny English sparkling wine. Other brands include: Heinz, Encona, Unilever, Ooni, San Pellegrino, Maison Mirabeau and Hovis. 

This is an amazing opportunity for someone who lives and breathes food and drink to become part of the team for the UK’s leading premium food platform.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying potential prospects and starting conversations with new partners for sales, membership, competitions and more

  • Building strong relationships with brands and agencies within key verticals

  • Lining up monthly membership competitions, perks and incentives

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Some previous experience in a commercial role in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to adapt to different audiences

  • A good knowledge and passion for all things food, drink, chefs and restaurants

  • A knack for asking great questions to uncover what a prospect is looking for and how we can help them

  • Highly organised go-getter and process orientated, with strong attention to detail

  • Comfortable with generating self-sourced opportunities and experienced in performing outreach tasks via LinkedIn, Instagram, email and on the phone

  • A team-player attitude with a strong desire to help improve internal processes beyond just your day-to-day tasks
