About Great British Chefs

Great British Chefs was founded in 2010 to remove the disconnect between the home cook and professional, whilst celebrating the country's finest culinary minds. The site now features over 200 chefs representing the very best of British talent, alongside more than 6000 recipes. Whether you're an ambitious home cook looking to impress at your next dinner party, or just wanting to learn a new kitchen skill, Great British Chefs is the ultimate resource for those who want to delve that little bit deeper. We work with the very best chefs and food writers to create recipes, guides, features and videos that inspire food lovers to cook for themselves and others, all whilst celebrating the diversity of Britain's culinary scene.

The Role

Great British Chefs is looking for a Marketing Executive to join the team. Supporting the Marketing Manager, you will work closely with our social media, editorial and client operations teams to deliver our marketing strategy, with a focus on growing our membership, increasing brand awareness and retaining our engaged community of food lovers.

For both in-house and client campaigns, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing a range of marketing activities - from email and content to competitions and events.

You’ll be joining a small, agile team where no two weeks look the same. One day you might be helping to organise a nationwide BBQ challenge, the next you could be supporting an influencer event or contributing ideas to a client campaign brief. We’re a collaborative team and we love fresh thinking - whether that’s a new angle on a campaign or a creative idea you’ve been sitting on, your input will always be welcomed.

As part of the Great British Chefs team, you’ll also get to enjoy the perks that come with working in food - including access to our in-house test kitchen, where our chefs cook and develop recipes on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contributing to the delivery of our annual marketing strategy, with a focus on driving membership and audience growth

  • Owning the planning and building of weekly newsletters and customer journeys to drive engagement (working on content plans with the editorial team, build and delivery, lifecycle emails)

  • Collaborating with the client operations team to deliver campaigns (copywriting, emails, competitions)

  • Managing competitions, including sourcing prizes, assets, building landing pages and drawing winners

  • Supporting client events, communications, planning and invites

  • Running paid ads activity across Meta, TikTok and Google

  • Tracking and reporting on the performance of marketing channels, providing regular updates and insights to the team

  • Support on other GBC marketing initiatives including cookbooks and studio hire

  • Contributing to ideas and team brainstorms for brand and client campaigns

  • Community management, including our Cookbook Club on Facebook

Skills and Experience

  • At least one year in a marketing role with demonstrable experience planning and executing campaigns end-to-end

  • Hands-on experience with email marketing tools

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Analytical mindset

  • Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

  • A proactive, positive and enthusiastic approach

Desirable Skills

  • Passion and knowledge of the food industry

  • Familiarity with analytics tools to track performance across digital platforms (social, email, Google Analytics)

  • Exposure to paid ads management (Meta, Google or TikTok)
