Nigel Mendhem's cooking style combines aesthetic creativity with some serious technical skill. However, this collection demonstrates that the majority of his colourful recipes are perfectly accessible.
While some recipes, such as his wonderfully elaborate Peanut and caramelised banana dessert, are a little tricky, his easy Gorgonzola and butternut squash risotto recipe and the Confit pollock with cauliflower prove that colourful ingredients and careful plating can make even the simplest of recipes appear fine dining ready.
