Jeff and Chris Galvin are celebrating a decade of Bistrot de Luxe, and with it ten years of delighting Baker Street diners with the restaurant’s lavish French dishes. Their aim when they set out - aside from menus reflecting their food philosophy of ‘seasonality, consistency, simplicity and passion’ - was to strive for longevity, making their ten year milestone all the more poignant.
Last month, we highlighted several of the signature plates in their year-long Dishes of the Decade campaign, which celebrates menu mainstays from the last ten years of Bistrot de Luxe. While the convivial Galvin brothers are familiar faces to regulars of the restaurant and have a great relationship with their returning customers, any restaurant that has remained open - and as continually popular as Bistrot de Luxe - for ten years has their menus to thank above everything else, and Dishes of the Decade is a celebration of these ‘timeless classics’.
A particular dish has selected as a ‘Dish of the Decade’ for each of the twelve months (due to their dedication to authenticity and seasonality, it seems only fitting that such a celebration would span a whole year). During this time, diners will be selected at random to receive their dish of the decade on the house.
