Chicken, bacon and mushroom pie

Ingredients

Fresh Meat

  • 8 chicken thighs, skin on and bones in
  • 6 slices of back bacon, smoked

Fruit & Vegetables

  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 250g of chestnut mushrooms

Store Cupboard

  • 2 tbsp of plain flour
  • 570ml of chicken stock
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • 500g of puff pastry, all butter
  • 1 egg, beaten with a dash of milk for egg wash

Salad & Fresh Herbs

  • 1 handful of thyme, leaves picked
  • 2 bay leaves

Beverages

  • 175ml of white wine

  • 285ml of whole milk
