Ingredients

Store Cupboard

  • 300g of plain flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp of brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp salt

Spices & Dried Herbs

  • 2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbsp of cayenne pepper, or use 3 to make it spicier

Dairy

  • 200ml of buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 25g of butter

  • 50ml of fermented chilli sauce, see above
  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs, bashed out to an even thickness
  • 2 tbsp of fermented chilli sauce, or more to taste

Oils & Vinegars

  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • dill pickle slice to taste
