Easy vegetable chow mein

Ingredients

Cereals, Grains & Pasta

  • 100g of egg noodles, medium

Oils & Vinegars

  • 1 dash of sesame oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp groundnut oil

Store Cupboard

  • 1 dash of dark soy sauce
  • 125g of sweetcorn kernels

Spices & Dried Herbs

  • 1 tsp five-spice powder
  • 1 tsp chilli sauce
  • freshly ground black pepper

Fruit & Vegetables

  • 2 carrots, peeled and finely sliced into matchsticks
  • 1 large onion, peeled and sliced
  • 4 spring onions, large, sliced lengthways
  • 80g of mushrooms, washed and sliced

Salad & Fresh Herbs

  • 100g of beansprouts

Cooking Sauces

  • 2 tbsp of light soy sauce
