Mchuzi wa samaki (Tanzanian coconut fish curry)

Ingredients

Fish & Shellfish

  • 250g of salmon fillet, cubed
  • 250g of hake fillet, cubed

Fruit & Vegetables

  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 6 plum tomatoes, chopped

Spices & Dried Herbs

  • 2 tbsp of curry powder
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander

Cooking Sauces

  • 2 tbsp of ginger and garlic paste

Store Cupboard

  • 400ml of coconut milk

Speciality Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp of tamarind paste

Salad & Fresh Herbs

  • 1 handful of coriander leaves, chopped

Oils & Vinegars

  • 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
