1 medium free-range egg, lightly beaten
150g of granulated sugar
1/2 tsp salt
100g of ground almonds
1/2 tsp cardamom seeds
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp of icing sugar, plus extra for dusting

125ml of whole milk, cold
100g of unsalted butter, softened
1 egg, lightly beaten with 1 tbsp of water
200ml of double cream
Spices & Dried Herbs
2 tsp cardamom pod

1/2 tbsp of baking powder

3 tbsp of water
