Lightly curried shepherd's pie

Ingredients

Fresh Meat

  • 2kg lamb shoulder, fat and sinew trimmed, minced

Fruit & Vegetables

  • 1 onion, peeled and chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled and finely chopped
  • 450g of Maris Piper potatoes, peeled, cut into large chunks

Oils & Vinegars

  • 1 tbsp of olive oil

Store Cupboard

  • 6 tbsp of tomato purée
  • black pepper, freshly ground
  • salt

Spices & Dried Herbs

  • 2 tbsp of mild curry powder

Dairy

  • 100g of unsalted butter
  • 75g of whole milk

Cheese

  • 100g of cheddar, grated
