Indian-Chinese chilli chicken

Ingredients

Oils & Vinegars

  • 50ml of vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp of toasted sesame oil

Fresh Meat

  • 500g of chicken breast, cut into 3 equal strips then thinly sliced

Fruit & Vegetables

  • 1 green pepper, cut into a large dice
  • 1 red onion, cut into a large dice
  • 3 spring onions, cut the bulb into quarters and the leaves into 2.5cm long pieces

Spices & Dried Herbs

  • 5 dried red chillies, deseeded and broken into 3 pieces
  • 4 green chillies, cut into thick diagonal slices
  • 1 knob of ginger, approx. 5cm in length, peeled and finely sliced

Store Cupboard

  • 1 tbsp of dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp of cornflour
  • salt

Cooking Sauces

  • 1 tbsp of light soy sauce
  • 2 chicken stock pots, dissolved in 500ml hot water
