Bunyols de vent (Catalan doughnuts)



  • 250ml of milk
  • 50g of unsalted butter

Store Cupboard

  • 50g of sugar
  • 200g of self-raising flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt

Fruit & Vegetables

  • 1 lemon, zest only


  • 100ml of ratafia, (if you can't get hold of ratafia, you can use rum or any aniseed-flavoured liqueur like Sambuca or Pastis)

Oils & Vinegars

  • vegetable oil, for frying
