How to cook tongue

Ingredients

Fresh Meat

  • 1 lamb's tongue, ox tongue, pig tongue or veal tongue

Fruit & Vegetables

  • 1 onion, peeled and quartered
  • 1 carrot, washed and roughly chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, bashed

Salad & Fresh Herbs

  • 1 bunch of thyme

Store Cupboard

  • 1 tsp black peppercorns
  • salt, to taste

  • butter, for frying
