What is the Mumsnet Academy?

The Mumsnet Academy is a brand new enterprise curated by Mumsnet.  They have put together a portfolio of fantastic courses to fit around family commitments and busy working lives & we are very excited to be part of it.

These courses have been developed by Mumsnet have in response to their consumers feedback and as a result they have selected a range of partners to help them deliver this programme of masterclasses, workshops, and events.

Fabulous experts from a range of organisation including Faber and Faber, The Cookery School on Portland StreetThe School for Start Ups and Great British Chefs are working with Mumsnet on the Academy.

This collaborative approach means attendees benefit from a highly diverse programme across a variety of different subjects including entrepreneurship, business, technology, social media, blogging, history of art, creative writing, publishing, gardening, philosophy, finance, fashion as well as courses concerned with self-improvement and the concept of learning to live wisely and well. Some of these courses will be skill-based, while others will explore concepts, theory and ideas.

They're not just based in the capital. From day one the Mumsnet Academy is providing events in Birmingham, Edinburgh, London and Manchester and plans to do some courses online too.

Their courses are scheduled at times which are more convenient for those with young children, but are open to everyone. Ultimately, the overall aim of the Mumsnet Academy is to bring people together in a thought-provoking and fulfilling environment where there is a universal willingness to explore ideas, develop skills, and learn from experts as well from each other.

We have developed two courses in partnership with our chefs - the first one is from Martin Wishart on the 19th June and second is with Tom Aikens on the 10th July.
