Established in Bristol during the swinging '60s,
Bart's has a dedicated team who have a passion for sourcing and delivering a wonderful range of herbs, spices and ingredients from all over the globe.
Herbs and Spices have been used to flavour foods for thousands of years. Primitive man used leaves to wrap their food while cooking, while the ancient Chinese, Greeks and Egyptians also used various products to flavour foods as well as for medicinal purposes. During the Roman era, the international trade of herbs and spices grew, and it was during this time that many of these products were first introduced to Britain.
Today, Bart's passion, knowledge and experience all go towards a sustainable approach to sourcing over 130 different herbs and spices from
Cardamom and
Coriander,
Ginger and
Vanilla to
Juniper Berries and
Mace.
