Live and Cooking with Michael Caines on Facebook

by Great British Chefs 29 September 2017

We've teamed up with one of the greatest chefs in the UK – Michael Caines – who shared one of his simple, easy and healthy recipes live on our Facebook page. Read more about what he be cooked.

Few chefs have achieved what Michael Caines has in his career. Making a name for himself at Gidleigh Park – earning two Michelin stars in the process – he is now the chef-owner of a country house hotel just outside Exmouth in Devon. The Michelin-starred Lympstone Manor offers everything you could want in luxury, and is home to what is fast becoming one of the best restaurants in the UK.

That’s why we were delighted to host an online cook school featuring Michael in association with our healthy cookery partner Vitality. Those watching were able to see how a Michelin-starred chef makes a simple dish we all know and love – tomato soup – getting the best flavour out of the ingredients. During the class people could ask questions on anything from the recipe being featured to specific techniques and cooking tips – a fantastic opportunity for any home cook.

Take a look at the video below to see what Michael prepared and his tips for cooking at home.
