Howard is an amateur baker from Sheffield, who first caught the public’s attention on series 4 of the BBC’s The Great British Bake Off. He went on to win their affection with his quirky style and love of unusual ingredients. More recently he has been demonstrating his creative approach to gluten-free baking at numerous food festivals and shows, teaching at Hartingtons artisan food school in Bakewell, and has been a brand ambassador for Newburn Bakehouse, the gluten-free wing of Warburtons bakery. His engaging personality and sense of humour have made him a popular guest panellist on Bake Off’s spin-off show, An Extra Slice. Howard’s first book, Delicious Gluten-Free Baking was published by Little Brown in September.
