Eat Drink Bristol Fashion: Food Sustainability

by Isaac Parham
Bristol is buzzing. A tipi village has pitched up in Queens Square, the city is in the running for European Green Capital for 2015, and a Michelin starred chef is serving modern British ‘tapas’ in the city centre. Isaac decided to make his first trip down to the city.

Bristol, home of Brunel’s famous suspension bridge, Banksy and drum and bass music. You may not know that it’s also the destination for great food too. This summer, thousands of foodies will experience some amazing food fairs, festivals and markets and also sample award winning restaurants in picturesque settings. With so much on offer, Sara, a recent graduate from Bristol University, gives her thoughts on the some of the best places to visit.

If you're travelling past Bristol's Georgian Squares in the next two weeks and notice some Native American tipis in the centre, don't worry.  It's not the sign of a Cowboys & Indians re-enactment, just the sign of some amazing food being prepared & served by award winning chef Josh Eggleton & his friends.  Josh behind the Michelin starred pub, The Pony and Trap, will be introducing  Eat Drink Bristol Fashion to Bristol's Queen Square for the next fortnight. Tom Burnford & Great British Chefs got a sneak peek at what was on offer.
