Great British Menu Series 8 starts 28th January 2013

The Great British Menu returns for its eighth series, and will be celebrating the fun of Comic Relief. The chefs will be creating a menu that is not only playful, but funny. To help them on their journey they will be inspired & judged by a number of the UK's funniest comedians.  

The Waterside Inn, located along the Thames in the village of Bray, began 40 years ago by the Roux brothers who bought a pub and transformed it into the culinary landmark it is today. Bearing three Michelin stars and now under the leadership of Alain Roux, the restaurant is visited by Matthew Fort during its anniversary celebrations, who shares with us the experience

The Great British Menu returns for its seventh series, this year taking an Olympic theme.  Twenty four of the finest chefs in the country including many chefs from Great British Chefs site will compete in eight regional heats for the opportunity to create a four course menu at a prestigious event at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, hosted by sporting legend Sir Steve Redgrave with a guest list of British sporting greats.

Fancy some cow heel, pigs trotters, black pudding and carp pie?  How about some delicious sounding Goosnargh cakes or Hawkshead Wig as a dessert? No. Well, these are all delicacies the Brits once relished and some of them could be back on our dinner tables.  Great British Chefs discovered which ones could be on supermarket shelves soon ......
